NHBC, the UK’s leading new home warranty and insurance provider, has announced that two of the Braidwater Group’s site managers have received its flagship Quality Award at this year’s national Pride in the Job awards.
Braidwater Group site managers Criona O’Hara (site: Roe Wood) and Kevin Cosgrove (site: Beech Hill View) were both recognised for the vital role they play in ensuring new homes are delivered on time, on safe sites and to the highest construction quality standards.
Pride in the Job celebrates site managers who have achieved the very highest standards in house building across the UK. It is the most highly regarded competition in the house-building industry and the most prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers.
Judging for the Awards is rigorous with each site manager assessed across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise, and health and safety.
Ryan Boyle, Chief Operating Officer of the Braidwater Group, said:
“Pride in the Job is the most sought after award in the house-building industry and congratulations to Criona on her first Quality award (second year running for Roe Wood) and Kevin on his second Quality award (fourth year running for Beech Hill View). Being selected as one of the UK’s top site managers is a testament to their commitment to delivering quality homes for our customers.
‘’The Braidwater Group continues and will always strive for excellence, going above and beyond the assurance of building top quality homes.’’
From a field of more than 8,000, over 444 UK site managers have won a Quality Award in the first round of NHBC’s Pride in the Job Awards 2023, representing the top 5% of those who entered.
Commenting on the awards, Steve Wood, CEO at NHBC said: “Congratulations to all the winners who should feel proud to have received a Pride in the Job Award. Pride in the Job is firmly at the heart of NHBC’s mission to raise standards in the housing industry. It is important we recognise the vital role site managers play in ensuring new homes are delivered on time, on safe sites and to exacting construction quality standards. This accolade recognises the best site managers across the UK and celebrates how much Criona and Kevin have inspired their teams by going the extra mile to deliver homes of the highest quality.”
