Micah, a health care worker at Belfast Trust, recently moved into her new family home at Cloughan View in Ballyclare, and she couldn’t be happier with the experience.

A delighted Micah at her new family home in Ballyclare.

After searching for a place that would truly feel like home, Micah found exactly what she and her family needed in the Braidwater Group’s latest development.

She takes up the story: ‘I’d heard about the Braidwater Group before, having worked in the north west for a time, and their reputation was already in my mind.

‘But it wasn’t until we stepped into the show home at Cloughan View that I knew this was the one. The space, the design, everything was just perfect for us. We looked at a lot of homes, but none compared to this.’

For Micah, the Cloughan View show home’s thoughtful design and spacious layout made all the difference. She was particularly drawn to the kitchen, which has now become the heart of their new home.

‘We have a large extended family, and the kitchen is perfect for entertaining everyone. It’s definitely my favourite room in the house!’

As a first-time homebuyer, the health care worker was initially unsure about the process especially since she had never taken out a mortgage before. But with the help of her financial advisor and the Braidwater Group team, everything fell into place.

‘I was nervous at first, but my financial advisor guided me well and the whole process was made so easy by the fabulous Braidwater Group team. They kept me informed at every step, and I never felt lost or overwhelmed,” she said.

Micah was also impressed by the professionalism and dedication of everyone involved.

‘The communication was amazing. From Gordon at Simon Brien’s to Joysclen at the Braidwater Group and Allan Nelson, the site foreman, everyone was fantastic. And not forgetting MKB Law, the solicitors, who had everything ready in just six weeks after we paid our deposit. They made sure the whole process went smoothly, which gave me so much peace of mind.’

The moment she and her family received the keys to their new home was one she’ll never forget.

‘It was such an emotional day,’ Micah added.

‘I never thought we’d own our own home, and to have it happen so quickly – honestly, I was speechless. There’s nothing like the feeling of knowing this is our space, a place we can finally call our own.’

Living at Cloughan View has brought a sense of security and joy to Micah and her family. With the ongoing housing crisis, she’s grateful to have made the decision to purchase.

‘Owning our home is a huge comfort. With rental prices so high, we felt like we were wasting money, but now, we’re investing in our future,’ she reflected.

The development itself has also been a perfect fit for their lifestyle.

‘It’s so close to everything we need, from local amenities to Belfast. And for my regular 5km runs, it’s ideally placed.’

Micah also praised the Braidwater Group’s commitment to family and said they are so clear in every detail.

‘Braidwater is so family-orientated; they really think of everything. The homes are spacious and the community is welcoming, a Braidwater Group home was definitely the right choice for us.’
