BW Social Affordable Housing, part of the Braidwater Group, is delighted to announce works will commence later this year on a new £15 million development of social and affordable homes in Strabane.

The scheme, on the site of the former Convent Grammar School on Curlyhill Road, will add a further 75 social and 3 affordable homes, incorporating a balance of semi-detached, detached, town homes and apartments.

This new development will be delivered in partnership with Woven Housing Association and supported by the Housing Executive and Department for Communities, providing an enhancement of the existing neighbourhood whilst also addressing the growing demand for housing in the Strabane area.

Vincent Bradley, Braidwater Group Development Director confirmed the development this week, adding

‘This exciting project in Strabane will provide a mix of houses and apartments while, importantly, also retaining areas of mature landscape and woodland to promote a carbon-conscious approach.

‘The new development will go a long way in addressing the shortage of housing in the locality and we’re delighted to be involved along with Woven Housing Association.’
