The creation of BW Social Affordable Housing

Braidwater Ltd initially carried out both Private and Social Housing Developments alongside a number of Commercial Developments. The Company is well recognised throughout Northern Ireland, with a reputation built on professionalism and attention to detail, with a culture of integrity and innovation, alongside a policy of continuous improvement.

This family owned business was founded over 40 years ago, by Managing Director Patrick McGinnis and together with his son and fellow Director, Joe McGinnis, they have expanded the business and have gained a wealth of experience in delivering practical solutions of high quality for design and build projects.

In January 2019, the company announced that BW Homes & Construction was to merge with its sister company Braidwater to form Braidwater Group. The new Braidwater Group now comprises two rebranded subsidiaries, Braidwater Homes and BW (Social Affordable Housing), working along similar divisional lines as their predecessor businesses.

Overall – BW Social Affordable Housing has delivered almost 1,000 new Social Homes to the Skeoge, Galliagh & Steelstown areas of the city over the last 20 years.
